Since the Mining Code entered into force in 2002, and its implementing measures, the Miner Regulation, in 2003, GECAMINES SA, like all of our country’s mining enterprises, has referenced only these two texts with respect to all of the aspects related to the environmental protection.

Through its Workplace Health and Security Division services, GECAMINES SA regularly inspects and monitors the reliability of industrial and connected installations with regard to both workplace security and environmental protection.

The operating parameters of these units are measured in collaboration with GECAMINES specialized services (Geological Department, Department of Mining Studies, Department of Metallurgic Studies, Division of Construction Studies).
